Q: What is a Natural Hazard Disclosure (NHD) report?
A: A Natural Hazard Disclosure is a report required for a real estate transaction in California, detailing the state, federal, and locally mapped hazards for a specified property. The NHD is pursuant to California Civil Code 1103 and includes information on zones such as fire, flood and earthquakes.
Q: What types of NHD reports are offered by Premier NHD?
A: We offer both Residential and Commercial NHD Reports, each with the option to include tax and/or environmental in the report. The options are as follows:
Standard without Tax: NHD+Environmental
Standard with Tax: NHD+Tax
Q: How much does a NHD report cost?
A: All of our reports are for a low price of $65.
Q: How do I place an order?
A: You can place an order in the following ways:
- Use our order portal to place an order. If you have not created an account with us yet, you will have to do so at this time. Once logged in, click on “Order Report”, then follow the easy steps.
- Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order details. Please include the following: Street Address, APN, County, Escrow Number, Escrow Company, Escrow Officer, Close of Escrow, Report Type.
- Call us at 1-866-643-8110. We have dedicated customer service available Monday-Friday, 9 AM – 5:30 PM.
Q: Does Premier NHD have E&O Insurance?
A: Yes, Premier NHD does have E&O Insurance for added protection.
Q: What is Premier NHD’s cancellation policy?
A: Premier NHD does not have a cancellation policy. Please contact us to cancel the order and there will be no charge.
Q: After placing an order, how long will I have to wait to receive my NHD report?
A: Our NHD reports will be delivered to you in 1 minute, unless it is a special order. Special orders typically take 1-4 business hours to be completed.
Note: Please make sure to check your junk mail or spam in case our reports have improperly landed there. Please mark us as “safe” if we are in fact ending in your junk mail or spam.
Q: How can I access your electronic booklets (eBooklets)?
A: Our electronic booklets are available as a hyperlink on our NHD reports, or can be found on our resources page.
Q: When should my report be paid by?
A: After escrow closes, the escrow company will prepare and send a check to Premier NHD. If you would like to pay earlier, you can send a check to our billing address.
Q: How can I pay for my report?
A: Currently, we only accept payment in form of a check. Please make checks payable to Premier NHD. The billing address is P.O. Box 1042, Studio City, CA 91614.
